Heavyweight boxer Charles Martin believes the Tyson Fury glove conspiracy theories circulating on the internet demand to be looked at in greater detail, claiming ‘that s**t ain’t normal’.

Following Fury’s victory over Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas
last month, clips circulated online which allege that the Gypsy King’s hands
were not fully inside his gloves during both WBC title fights.

The ‘flappy gloves’ theory, largely perpetuated by disgruntled fans of Wilder, has been rubbished by figures such as Fury’s cutman Stitch Duran, legendary referee Jack Reese and even Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn.

But Martin, who knocked out Gerald Washington on the
Wilder-Fury II undercard, believes there is something in the theories and feels
it needs to investigated properly.

He told FightHype: ‘It looked like the glove was flapping or
whatever and that s**t ain’t normal. I mean, it ain’t like it’s normal.

‘Maybe they need to look a little deeper and more in-depth
into that situation, or whatever the hell that was.

‘At the end of the day, it was a heavyweight title fight, it’s
very important so whatever was malfunctioning with the gloves, that shouldn’t
happen in the part three, that’s for sure!

‘I’ve never seen it in the whole history of boxing. So that was just odd to me, I’m gonna keep it one hundred with you, s**t looked funny to me.

‘I haven’t ever seen anything like that happen. It looked like
he didn’t have his hand all of the way in the glove where the pads at, so in
the back there ain’t no pads.

‘There ain’t s**t there. So it looked his fist was [lower
down] and the glove was just flopping. That would definitely give you an
advantage because there ain’t no padding.’

On allegations that a member of Fury’s team briefly covered
the locker room camera, Martin added: ‘I didn’t even know that. That’s some
shady s**t.

‘I’m all about being fair. I don’t like the PED users, I don’t like fighters that cheat period because we’re putting our life on the line and we all heavyweights – we’re big ass motherf**kers. So if they’re gonna cheat, they need to discipline these guys to the fullest. This s**t real.’
